Foremarke 3: the Venture Camp

The first thing to know about how Foremarke 3 works (apart from that it’s great fun!) is that you'll be given a ‘dorm’ when you arrive. This is a group of 4–6 teenagers who are roughly your age (and exactly the same sex!), who you’ll spend time with in the morning Bible sessions and evening chatbacks, and in dorm challenges and evening entz (see below).

This means that straight away you've got a ready-made friendship group—and if you come along with a mate around the same age as you, you’ll probably find they’re in the same dorm as you anyway.

Each dorm has two or three leaders. These are young(ish!) adults who will get to know you, have a laugh with you, tell you to go to bed from time to time, and help you think for yourself about who Jesus is and how to follow him. All the leaders are fully CRB checked.

Here's how a normal day on venture works:

7.45am Get up
8.15am Breakfast (cereal, toast, fruit, often fried stuff)
9.00am Small group Bible session
9.30am Morning game
10.15am Focus meeting (couple of songs, prayers, games, Bible talk)
11.00am Morning Activities (onsite, a whole heap of options each day)
12.00pm Issues@12 (a half-hour discussion and question-and-answer session looking at what the Bible says about a particular topic)
12.30pm Lunch
1.30pm Afternoon Activities (a mixture of onsite and offsite, crazy and chilled)
4.30pm Chillout time
6.00pm Dinner
7.00pm Evening game
8.30pm Focus meeting (couple of songs, prayers, games, Bible talk)
9.20pm Evening Entz (difficult to describe…basically loads of craziness and fun)
10.10pm Chatback (chance to talk with your dorm about your day, ask any questions, etc)
11.00pm Lights out
